XMLQUERY FN:CURRENT-DATETIME() DOES NOT ALWAYS RETURN CORRECT TIMEZONE
(Doc ID 2114119.1)
Last updated on MARCH 28, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Database - Standard Edition - Version 11.2.0.3 to 12.1.0.2 [Release 11.2 to 12.1]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The function to get current date/time in XMLQUERY is "fn:current-dateTime()". In a lot of cases, the timezone information is lost in the returned date/time. The most basic example of it is when there is a function call anywhere in the xmlquery function even when it has nothing to do with the date.
