'acfsroot install' hangs on 11.2 (Doc ID 2115266.1)

Symptoms

While applying "Patch 22191577 - Oracle Grid Infrastructure Patch Set Update 11.2.0.4.160119 (Jan2016) (Includes Database PSU 11.2.0.4.160119)", the 'acfsroot install' command hung.


It was later determined that the PSU patch was not the culprit

 

opatchauto*.log:


acfsutil uninstall or 'acfsutil load', also hang
