Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You are performing a Patapump import (impdp) using a  NETWORK_LINK and when specifying PARALLEL = n+1 where "n" is the number of workers, it terminates with the following errors:

ORA-39126: Worker unexpected fatal error in KUPW$WORKER.MAIN [SELECT UNIQUE object_type FROM sys.ku$_oracle_supplied_obj_view]
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 95
ORA-06512: at "SYS.KUPW$WORKER", line 11259

Setting PARALLEL=n (for example 64), it works without issue.

For example: if n=64 then 64+1 = 65 workers fails with the above error during a Datapump network link import operation

Changes

The database has just been upgraded to 12c. This was not an issue in previous version.
