Symptoms
- An INSERT...VALUES statement into table SYS.AUD$ appears to be causing a great amount of foreground wait time. Data within an ASH report may resemble the following:
- The parameter, AUDIT_TRAIL, is set to a value other than NONE or OS.
- The database is participating in distributed transactions via the XA Architecture.
Changes
There are no obvious changes visible (although you may just have recently begun to employ the XA Architecture).
