Symptoms
After running OPTIMIZE TABLE on one or more InnoDB tables, the following incremental backup is larger than normal. Potentially it can cause the disk where the backups are stored to become full.
For example:
- Load the employee sample database using a file per table tablespace.
- Check the size of the employees.salaries tablespace file:
