Symptoms

NOTE: In the examples that follow, user details, cluster names, hostnames, directory paths, filenames, etc. represent a fictitious sample (and are used to provide an illustrative example only). Any similarity to actual persons, or entities, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

When we run the Abinitio (ETL tools) ingest Job, it fails with below error intermittently, for example it may fail 1 in 10 times that it is run:

could not open phase-log file for appending hadoop.hdfs.protocol.AlreadyBeingCreatedException) : Failed to create file <FILE> for [DFSClient_NONMAPREDUCE_-<ID>] for client <CLIENT_IP_ADDRESS>, because this file is already being created by [DFSClient_NONMAPREDUCE_<ID>] on <CLIENT_IP_ADDRESS>
