OUD / Oracle Net Services: Error "TNS-03505: Failed to resolve name" when Running "tnsping <ALIAS_NAME>" (Doc ID 2126333.1)

Symptoms

Using Oracle Net Manager on Oracle 12c client side to manage the Oracle Net Service, and there is no problem with Oracle Net Manager but the Oracle client cannot get alias name. The Database Net Services Entry is stored in OUD.

Error output "TNS-03505: Failed to resolve name" when running tnsping <ALIAS_NAME>

OUD log shows entry found (with nentries=1) -
