12c : DBUA Hangs With Error: "Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java Heap Space" (Doc ID 2131277.1)

Symptoms

While upgrading Database from 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 using DBUA,hangs with the below error messages in the trace.log file

Exception in thread "Thread-2410"
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
at java.nio.CharBuffer.wrap(CharBuffer.java:350)
at sun.nio.cs.StreamDecoder.implRead(StreamDecoder.java:291)
at sun.nio.cs.StreamDecoder.read(StreamDecoder.java:158)

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Exception in thread "Thread-482"
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Exception in thread "Thread-481"
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
