Goal

This document provides steps to find fragmentation at segment level. Note that in this document MANUAL methods of finding fragmentation have been discussed. Oracle has automated fragmentation checks from 10.2 onward via Automatic Segment Advisor. Further details on Sgment Advisor are given in :
