Last updated on MAY 10, 2016

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Running an OBIEE 11.1.1.7 environment which uses Weblogic Server 10.3.6 on Linux. The XAG environment is delivered as a part of GI in 11.2.0.4 and above.

The XAG white paper that is being used is Oracle Grid Infrastructure Agents Version 7.1

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/database-technologies/clusterware/downloads/ogiba-2189738.pdf

The above white paper states that XAG supports Weblogic, but running 'agctl add weblogic_admin_server -help" as required by the document fails because weblogic_admin_server is not a recognized key word.

The following is agctl help page from XAG that is delivered with 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2.  Note this is an old version and does not include keywords like weblogic_admin_server and mysql_server.

agctl add weblogic_admin_server -help
Manages Apache Tomcat, Apache Webserver, Goldengate, Peoplesoft App Server, Peoplesoft Batch Server, Peoplesoft PIA Server, Siebel Gateway, Siebel Server as Oracle Clusterware Resources

Usage: agctl []
  verbs: add|check|config|disable|enable|modify|query|relocate|remove|start|status|stop
  objects: apache_tomcat|apache_webserver|goldengate|peoplesoft_app_server|peoplesoft_batch_server|peoplesoft_pia_server|siebel_gateway|siebel_server
For detailed help on each verb and object and its options use:
  agctl --help or
  agctl --help

Other Commands:
  agctl query releaseversion
  agctl query deployment

XAG-2: Invalid object 'weblogic_admin_server' specified on command line.
