mysqlmonitorctl Script Does Not Work for Installations Using an External Repository

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After an installation of the MySQL Enterprise Monitor using an external repository and not the bundled repository, the mysqlmonitorctl script for starting and stopping the repository doesn't work, and the status of the repository is shown as 'not running' even though the external repository is running.
