Symptoms
After dropping a table and shutting the master data node down (or it crashes), Local Checkpoints (LCPs) stop working; when looking in the Cluster log there is a message about a Local Checkpoint (LCP) starting:

The following events have occurred shortly before the start of the issue:
- A table was dropped.
- The master data node was shut down or crashed.
