LRM-00101: Unknown Parameter Name 'REMAP_TABLESPACE' Errors with Datapump Import (Doc ID 2163170.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 10.1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Starting a DataPump Import job through a shell script and using a parameter file fails with the following errors:

./ impdp.sh
LRM-00101: unknown parameter name 'REMAP_TABLESPACE'
LRM-00113: error when processing file 'impdp_vk.par'

The par file is similar to:

impdp_vk.par
DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR
dumpfile=vk.dmp
LOGFILE=impdp_vk.log
parallel=8
REMAP_TABLESPACE=user1:user2

The shell script used to start the import is:

impdp.sh
expdp vk/vk parfile=expdp_vk.par

The export job has completed successfully and a DP export is running fine in this database.

Changes

Same shell script content is used for both export and import.
