Protected Database sizes incorrectly configured on the Recovery Appliance (Doc ID 2164122.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 07, 2016

Applies to:

Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance Software - Version and later
Linux x86-64

When a Protected Database is added to the Recovery Appliance, the Recovery Appliance administrator provides the Protection Policy name and the Disk Reserved Space.

If the Disk Reserved Space is not sufficient to store all the backups for the Recovery Window Goal, then the Recovery Appliance can be put under space pressure which can lead to ORA-45170 errors. This note explains how to correctly size the space for your databases.
