Symptoms
When using Oracle Database Gateway for DRDA (DG4DRDA) version 12.1.0.2, connecting to a DB2 database running on OS/400 7.1, the first query takes much longer to process as compared to the 10G gateway.
Any subsequent query has sub second response time.
