Information in this document applies to any platform.
When creating a backup for a database that:
- has one or more InnoDB tables encrypted using Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- at least one of the encrypted tables were part of a previous restore
- the previous restore was performed with copy-back (as opposed to copy-back-and-apply-log)
the backup fails near the end after unlocking the tables with the error:
The issue may start after restoring a backup using the copy-back command and where the backup contained at least one InnoDB table encrypted using Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
