You are currently using Exalytics Linux 5 server with OVM. On this particular physical host, Times Ten (TT) is installed and is up and running. The TT instance includes both data warehouse type tables and an OBIEE summary advisor aggregate data store.
The physical server is being moved to another data center and will have a different network configuration in the new data center (new IP and gateway settings). It's also possible that a re-image or upgrade of the server may also be done.
Will the network changes have any impacts on the TT database or are there any special actions to be taken before the planned move (in order to preserve the database)?
If the decision is made to do a complete reimage of the server, how can the existing TT instance be backed up and restored once the reimage and reinstall of TT is complete?
