This document is limited in scope to Veritas clusters where the agent fails to start the listeners. In this case, the LSNRCTL utility was successful in starting or administering the listeners.

Symptoms

Veritas cluster start up fails to start the listener services.  The error returned to Veritas is TNS-12547 TNS: Lost Contact
In this case, the LSNRCTL utility is successful when starting the listener.  The error is thrown at Veritas only.

Changes

 This is likely a new implementation of the Veritas Cluster.
