LSNRCTL Stop Fails: TNS-12545:IBM/AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 68: Can't Assign Requested Address (Doc ID 2181453.1)

Symptoms

The listener is running and is handling connection requests.  However, the LSNRCTL stop command fails to stop the listener and yields the following error:

TNS-12545 TNS: Host or object does not exist
IBM/AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 68: Cannot Assign Requested Address

 

Changes

 Since the listener was last started a change to either the loopback address or the IPv6 interface was changed.
