Backup - Snapshot and File Browser Not Loading in Cloudera Manager (Doc ID 2184750.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2020

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.4.0 and later
Linux x86-64

NOTE: In the examples that follow, user details, cluster names, hostnames, directory paths, filenames, etc. represent a fictitious sample (and are used to provide an illustrative example only). Any similarity to actual persons, or entities, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

The symptom is that Backup - Snapshot and File Browser are not loading in Cloudera Manager.  This happens on clusters which are Kerberos enabled.

The error seen is:

A server error has occurred. Send the following information to Cloudera.
Version: Cloudera Enterprise 5.4.7 (#10 built by jenkins on 20150915-1155 git: <GIT>) Failed on local exception: Couldn't setup connection for hdfs/<REALM> to<PRIVATE_IP_HOST1>:8020; Host Details : local host is: "<PRIVATE_IP_HOST3>"; destination host is: "":8020;
