Are User Accounts Needed in the MySQL Enterprise Monitor User Interface While Using LDAP?
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2016

Information in this document applies to any platform.
In order to configure LDAP for user name and password authentication a local user must be created in the MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) with the same user name activating external authentication with the "User using external authentication" check box. The basic LDAP implementation appears to only be for the password information, so that will require that you create users in MEM for each user and password you want to authenticate.
How is it possible to avoid having to add every single user manually? With a central directory for user information such as LDAP that should be possible to configure.
