FGA Condition Having Issue With Character Value signals ORA-28112 (Doc ID 2187455.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall - Version 12.1.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With the FGA policy condition as character, there is issue in the actual EBS form. However, it is working fine for numeric or without condition.

Following is an Example:

BEGIN
DBMS_FGA.ADD_POLICY(
object_schema=>'Sample',
object_name=>'Object',
policy_name=>'Example',
audit_condition=>'INFORMATION_TYPE = PERC_EXAMPLE',
audit_column=>'EX_INFORMATION1, EX_INFORMATION2, EX_INFORMATION3',
statement_types=>'SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE',audit_trail=>DBMS_FGA.DB,
audit_column_opts=>dbms_fga.any_columns);
END;
/

Once the policy is created, we get the below error :-

SQL> select count(*) from AV1.Example;
select count(*) from AV1.Example
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28112: failed to execute policy function

Changes
