Cloning a PDB with TDE Encrypted Data fails with "ORA-28357: password required to open the wallet" (Doc ID 2208792.1)

Goal

Customer is trying to create a pluggable database from one that already exists and gets the error.


The following command to clone a pluggable database fails....

CREATE PLUGGABLE DATABASE TEST FROM PDB1
 STORAGE ( MAXSIZE UNLIMITED
  MAX_SHARED_TEMP_SIZE UNLIMITED)
 FILE_NAME_CONVERT = ('/u02/app/oracle/oradata/ORCL/PDB1/',
  '/u02/app/oracle/oradata/ORCL/test/')
 PATH_PREFIX = '/u02/app/oracle/oradata/ORCL/test/'
 TEMPFILE REUSE
 USER_TABLESPACES = ALL
 STANDBYS = ALL
 LOGGING;

 ORA-28357: password required to open the wallet


Trying to open the wallet manually as below fails:

ALTER SYSTEM SET ENCRYPTION WALLET OPEN IDENTIFIED BY "********";

ORA-28354: Encryption wallet, auto login wallet, or HSM is already open


How can I clone this pluggable database?
