How to Diagnose BDA Mammoth Upgrade "Patch_fimage/Exec[post_upgrade_script]" Failures on Step 2 (Doc ID 2209140.1)

Goal

This note details how to diagnose a BDA upgrade failure at Step 2 with an error like:

Error [15221]: (//bdanode04.example.com//Stage[main]/Miscsetup::Patch_fimage/Exec[post_upgrade_script]/returns)
change from notrun to 0 failed: /opt/oracle/bda/network/post_upgrade103 &>
/opt/oracle/BDAMammoth/bdaconfig/tmp/post_upgrade_script_1480360136.out returned 1 instead of one of [0]
