Symptoms

Upon review of OEM Charts for bad IO response time as well as underlying views:  GV$ASM_DISKGROUP_STAT / GV$ASM_DISK_STAT, it is clear that those values do not correlate to the same data as reported by AIX Unix IO data such as iostat, sar etc.  In short, reported OEM statistics are not corroborated at DB and/or OS level.
