Symptoms

View V$XS_SESSION_ROLE exists starting with 12c.

Customer complains that there is a miss match:

The bellow query specifies that the synonym V$XS_SESSION_ROLE owned by user PUBLIC is linked to table V$XS_SESSION_ROLES which is owned by user SYS.
select * from dba_synonyms where owner = 'PUBLIC' and synonym_name = 'V$XS_SESSION_ROLE';

The bellow query specifies that there is an object V$XS_SESSION_ROLES owned by PUBLIC (not SYS)
select owner, object_name from DBA_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_NAME='V$XS_SESSION_ROLES';
