Database Not Starting/stopping Using Dbstart/dbshut (Doc ID 2217540.1)

Symptoms

Tried to automatically start and stop the database using dbora. The command is executed correctly but the database is not up.

Also, standalone execution of dbstart or dbshut standard scripts do not start the database.

$> bash -x dbshut

shows similar output:

++ echo NTEST2:/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/ntest2:Y '#' line added by Agent
++ awk -F: '{print $NF}' -
+ '[' 'Y # line added by Agent' = Y ']'

 

Changes

Comment "# line added by Agent" could have been added previously by Agent
