Symptoms

In a 12.1.0.2 database, the following JSON_TABLE query in SEMI-JOIN fails with error:

SQL> CREATE TABLE ORA_600 (
   2    FID VARCHAR2(10)
   3    );

Table created.

SQL>
SQL> INSERT INTO ORA_600 (FID) VALUES('A');

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO ORA_600 (FID) VALUES('B');

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO ORA_600 (FID) VALUES('C');

1 row created.

SQL> INSERT INTO ORA_600 (FID) VALUES('D');

1 row created.

SQL>
SQL> COMMIT;

Commit complete.

SQL>
SQL> WITH MY_FIDS AS (
   2                   SELECT json.FID
   3                   FROM JSON_TABLE('["A","B"]', '$[*]'
