Orphan messages in the system notification queue (AQ_SRVNTFN_TABLE_Q_N) can cause the notification mechanism to stall and prevent further processing as explained in <NOTE:331372.1>.

This Note is intended to illustrate how to delete orphan messages from the notification queue without having to purge the entire queue.  This is particularly useful when there is more than one queue registered for notifications and the orphan entries are associated to only some of the queues.
