Symptoms
When installing Grid Infrastructure on Windows, there is following restrictions in document for disk partitions on ASM.

6.3.4 Restrictions for Disk Partitions Used By Oracle ASM
Be aware of the following restrictions when configuring disk partitions for use with Oracle ASM:
- You cannot use primary partitions for storing Oracle Clusterware files while running OUI to install Oracle Clusterware as described in Chapter 7, "Installing Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster". You must create logical drives inside extended partitions for the disks to be used by Oracle Clusterware files and Oracle ASM.
Description in above document is wrong.
You are able to use primary partitions for ASM Disks while installing Grid Infrastructure.
