Symptoms
srvctl command is not responsive on some nodes of the cluster. This can happen with any version of srvctl.
cluvfy might also hang and not come to prompt and hang.
which srvctl >> make sure you are using database home srvctl.
export SRVM_TRACE=TRUE
script /tmp/srvctl_trace.txt
srvctl unresponsive command.
exit
export SRVM_TRACE=
script /tmp/srvctl_trace.txt
srvctl unresponsive command.
exit
export SRVM_TRACE=
From another session find the PID of the other session running the srvctl
ps -ef|grep srvctl
$ truss -o /tmp/srvctl_truss.txt -dealf -p <OS PID of srvctl process>
