If you try to create a fast-refreshable materialized view or run a fast refresh on a materialized view that violates the documented restrictions, you may receive an ORA-12052.   This document collocates restrictions of fast refresh materialized views that are present in the Oracle Data Warehousing Guide for 9i though 11gR2.


 This document was written initially for version 9, and has been updated through 11gR2. 

Note: Where materialized view logs are referenced in this note, that includes materialized view logs on base tables, as well as any mviews that might be in the FROM clause of the mview being created.
