Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version to [Release 11.2 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer may see high enq: KO contention when running several parallel queries against tables with large number of partitions and sub partitions. (possibly over 100K). The hang analyze dump collected during the time of the hang would indicate that the CKPT process is blocking the sessions waiting for the 'enq: KO - fast object checkpoint' and busy performing the object checkpoint operation.
