Symptoms

After upgrade to 12c, in DataGuard environment,  many ORA-04031 errors found in the alert log with the following arguments:

ORA-4031: unable to allocate 352 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","unknown object","sga heap(1,0)","krsdicle")

Trace file shows very high allocation on 'KRSDICLE'. For example:

==============================================
TOP 20 MAXIMUM MEMORY USES ACROSS SGA HEAP 1 - 2
----------------------------------------------
"krsdicle " 5054 MB 43%
"free memory " 3016 MB 26%
"SQLA " 1997 MB 17%

Increasing the SGA/shared pool or restarting the instance does not solve the issue and "krsdicle " allocation continue to increase.

Changes

 Upgrade to 12.1.0.2
