Slower ACFS I/O performance after applying PSU 126.96.36.199.8 and general slow ACFS performance on AIX for 11.2
Last updated on MARCH 27, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 188.8.131.52 to 184.108.40.206 [Release 11.2 to 12.1]
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (32-bit)
Performance of tape backups from ACFS was much slower after applying 220.127.116.11.8 GI PSU. RMAN backup's seem to be running okay.
Comparing ACFS to a regular filesystem, it took twice the time on ACFS to dd a file to /dev/null.
You may also see heavy paging on the system.
oks log will show lot of page steals and read faults.
Collect in-memory logs: "acfsutil log -f okslog.txt", compress okslog.txt
Applied 18.104.22.168.8 GI PSU.
