Initialization of SQL node Failing In MCM: "NDB: Could not find database directory 'mysql' while trying to discover table 'gtid_executed'" (Doc ID 2238489.1)

Last updated on MARCH 24, 2019

Applies to:

MySQL Cluster - Version 7.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Have a two SQL nodes in Cluster. All shutdown normally from MCM. Then OS stopped.

When using MCM 1.3 to build a Cluster, if data node crashes and a new EMPTY machine is replacing it, as soon as MCM starts, it will re-build the data node and configuration, for a full unattended recovery.

When trying the same with mysqld node, the new machine won't recover.
