12c DBUA picks the wrong oracle home and SID while upgrade

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After invoking DBUA from the target ( 22.214.171.124 Home ) , it does not show the right Oracle Home for Source database
It does not show the SID of the database to be upgraded
Checking the /etc/oratab file shows that the database to be upgraded is rightly mentioned
Though the TEST11 database is rightly mentioned in the oratab file , the dbua was always picking wrong Oracle Home of “/app/oracle/product/test20/126.96.36.199” .
Also , it was not listing the SID TEST11 to upgrade
