After Upgrade to 4.8 Running the Host Inspector Reports "There are mismatched versions across the system, which will cause failures." (Doc ID 2250770.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 14, 2020

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.7.0 and later
Linux x86-64

After upgrade to 4.8 running the Host Inspector in Cloudera Manager (CM), Hosts > Inspect All Hosts > Show Inspector Results > Inspector Results,
may report:

There are mismatched versions across the system, which will cause failures. See below for details on which hosts are running what versions of components.

This warning is due to a difference in the version of Supervisord which is reported both correctly as 3.0-cm5.10.1 and incorrectly based on the version upgraded from.  For example, based on upgrade from BDA v4.5/CDH 5.7.0:

Supervisord is reported with the correct:  3.0-cm5.10.1, on some node(s).
Supervisord is reported with the incorrect: 3.0-cm5.7.0 on some node(s).
