Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Exawatcher vmstat files are sometimes formatted differently.

The usual format shows time information preceding row data:

--time-- procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- -----cpu-----
r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa st
06:06:41 6 0 151524 2249668 544536 9927316 0 0 5 90 22740 25216 18 1 81 0 0
06:06:46 3 0 151524 2414472 544544 9923540 0 0 0 170 28955 30766 20 1 78 0 0
06:06:51 7 0 151524 2421928 544548 9923880 0 0 0 228 33007 33597 14 1 84 0 0

However, at certain times, some .dat files will be missing the timestamps:

procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- -----cpu-----
r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa st
 1 0 153320 3512004 445336 8724380 0 0 1 11 0 1 17 1 82 0 0
 2 0 153320 3241088 445336 8724256 0 0 0 99 26607 28095 12 1 87 0 0
