The following message is reported in the alert.log of a physical standby database:
DELAY <n> minutes specified at primary ignored
where the numeric value after the DELAY is the actual delay configured for the related LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n on primary.
This message is reported even after managed recovery is restarted with the USING ARCHIVED LOGFILE attribute due to changes in behavior introduced in 12.1 and up.
In 12.1, a physical standby will by default run with Real Time Apply enabled. The USING CURRENT LOGFILE attributes are depreciated. To support using a DELAY, managed recovery has to be restarted with USING ARCHIVED LOGFILE instead.
