ORA-07445 [kgldon] in DataGuard Environment (Doc ID 2256539.1)

Symptoms

In a DataGuard environment, with automatic statistics gathering enabled on the Primary database, the following error is periodically reported:

ORA-7445: [kgldon()+862] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x0] [C:0x985CB5C] [Address not mapped to object] []

The error appears on the Physical Standby databases. When the automatic statistics gathering is disabled, this error disappear.

The call stack trace looks similar to:

Changes

Error error can be seen on 11.2.0.3, 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2 database versions in a Oracle Data Guard environment.
