How Is The New Column Hidden On ALL/DBA_DB_LINKS Used (Doc ID 2256720.1)

Symptoms

From 12.2 documentation we see ALL_DB_LINKS has one additional column HIDDEN

This column is available starting with Oracle Database 12c Release 2 (12.2.0.1).

While this column in not there in 12.1 documentation.

But there is not much detail in 12.2 documentation, like how is the new
column HIDDEN on ALL/DBA_DB_LINKS used?
