This document explains the requirement and procedure to install Oracle grid and database Oracle on IBM Linux on System z (s390x) running SLES12 operating system. It is NOT the purpose of this NOTE to repeat every "how-to" step that is presented in the Oracle Installation Guide. For example, this NOTE does not include how to create the Linux OS account named "oracle", nor does it cover how to set environment variables. Both are adequately covered in Chapter 2 "Oracle Database Pre-Installation Requirements" of the Installation Guide manual

This procedure is meant for those planning/installing oracle GRID and RAC database on SLES 12 on 64-bit IBM: Linux on System z (s390x) platform.
