Symptoms

When backing up MySQL 5.7.12 or later with the keyring_file or the keyring_okv plugin enabled using MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) 4.0.2, 4.0.3, 4.1, or later, the backup fails with the following error:

The issue may start after upgrading MySQL Enterprise Backup to version 4.0.2 or later or after enabling the keyring_file or the keyring_okv plugin.
