SQL statement with magic string '/**/ {t}' throws an unspecified error from Oracle OLEDB provider

Execute below query from VB script using Oracle OLEDB provider and it will result in Error OraOLEDB: Unspecified error 

If same query executed from sqlplus it throws no error.
