Symptoms

Partitioned index space allocation in 12c is a lot more than 11g. We have found below.


1. After expdp, partitioned index space allocation in 12c is a lot more than 11g.
2. After drop and recreate partitioned the index in 12c, the space allocation remains the same.
3. After issuing a shrink space statement, the allocation in 12c decrease dramatically, and become the same as in 11g.
