BDA Mammoth Upgrade or Server Resiliency Actions Fail with "ERROR: Could not change extended attributes on /etc/auto.master" (Doc ID 2268687.1)

Symptoms

The symptom is that a BDA Mammoth action, for example node reprovision, fails with:

INFO: Checking to see if files have correct permissions
...
ERROR: Could not change extended attributes on /etc/auto.master
ERROR: Cannot continue with install #Step 1#
...
