Symptoms

NOTE: The document content below, the user information and data used represents fictitious data from the Oracle sample schema(s) or Public Documentation delivered with an Oracle database product. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

When use DATA_OPTIONS=DISABLE_APPEND_HINT with NETWORK_LINK in DataPump import, DISABLE_APPEND_HINT doesn't take effect.
The issue can be reproduced by running below testcase in 12.1.0.2:

Site A:
========
SQL> create user test identified by test;
User created.

SQL> grant dba to test;
Grant succeeded.

SQL> conn test/test
Connected.
SQL> create database link dl_r12102 connect to test identified by test using 'siteb_r12102';

Database link created.

Site B:
========
SQL> create user test identified by test;
User created.

SQL> grant dba to test;
Grant succeeded.

SQL> conn test/test
Connected.

SQL> create table t1(a number, b varchar2(30));
Table created.

SQL> insert into t1 values (1,'a');
1 row created.

SQL> commit;
Commit complete.

Site A:
========
$ impdp test/test network_link=dl_r12102 logfile=t1.imp.log tables=(t1) data_options=disable_append_hint trace=480301

The trace file shows below SQL:

===> Although DISABLE_APPEND_HINT is set, Oracle still uses append hint.
