DRDA does not return SQLCODE +100 if no records matched (Doc ID 2274284.1)

Last updated on APRIL 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Database Provider for DRDA - Version 12.1.0.2 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

DP4DRDA is not returning sqlcode 100 for “record not found” during an update operation.

Using Oracle Database Provider for DRDA, update queries matching zero rows do not return an sqlcode 100, but select statements do.

This is presenting a problem for migrating existing programs to run against Oracle.

Connection is from DB2 10.1 on z/OS (2.2),
through "Oracle Database Provider for DRDA" (DP4DRDA) 12.1.0.2 running on Linux x86-64,
to Oracle 12.1.0.2.160419 Database (w/ April 2016 DB PSU patch 22806133) on Linux x86-64;
