What is the connection limit in MySQL Router? (Doc ID 2275446.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 03, 2017

Applies to:

MySQL Router - Version 2.1 to 2.1 [Release 2.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

MySQL Router is down with segfault if connection is increased.

The problem is that Router uses select() based field descriptor event API to determine if there are pending events on field descriptors.

This is limited to 1024.

Due to above reason, Router limits its connections precisely to around 500 as it needs 2 sockets for each connection.
